Meet the team
Jamie Andrews
CEO
Jamie has a background in low carbon travel as co-founder and CEO of Loco2, a technology startup that aimed to make booking a train in Europe as easy as booking a flight. He built the company with his sister Kate over ten years, eventually selling to French national rail operator SNCF in 2017.
Jamie moved to Machynlleth in 2019 and joined the board of TripTo as a volunteer in 2021 before eventually being appointed as TrydaNi CEO in April 2024. When he’s not working on TrydaNi you’ll find him playing football at a game organised via another of his startups, Squaddle, or getting his bike fixed at Mach’s local community bike workshop, Seiclo Dyfi, where he is a volunteer director.

Cyrene Dominguez
Digital Operations Manager
Cyrene has nearly a decade of experience in community solar, battery, and charge point installations, gained while working with her father's community interest company, Gwent Energy CIC. She's very comfortable working on the roof carrying tools and solar panels when needed!
Cyrene has worked with TrydaNi since it's conception in 2019, helping to grow it into what it is today. As she has worked with many low-income communities, she loves the concept of car sharing and can really see the benefits it can have in our hometowns.
In her spare time she's a very creative person, producing bespoke digital hand drawn illustrations on her iPad for charities such as Gwent Beekeepers CIO and Friends of The Earth. She's a passionate natural beekeeper, eco-friendly gardener, and was Chair of Bee Friendly Monmouthshire for several years, raising awareness about the importance of our pollinators. She currently lives in Cardiff with her husband who moved from Seattle, Washington, and their three ferrets.
Tess cartwright
Marketing/Comms Contractor
Tess is a former games producer who brings a suitcase of creative problem solving skills. She prides herself in bridging the gap between tech-geeks and those who benefit from that tech. She ran a circus and a theatre company before shifting into technology through writing and producing her own game, Truth Sleuth- a story-book detective game that helps young people spot fake new and flex their critical-thinking muscles.
She is passionate about close knit communities who support one another and car sharing is an exciting concept that has the potential for real change in these trying times.
When she isn't working for TrydaNi at the Forestry Hub she is enjoying cycling in the Dyfi valley, repointing her house in Cwm Llinau with lime mortar or crafting at Machspace - the local Machynlleth maker space.
